The S-boom telescopic booms manufactured by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally than compared to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access confined areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also recognized for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and could stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide quick, easy positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit has a telescoping jib, known as the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model can also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks which were previously unreachable by conventional jibs. The Z-80/60 unit's secondary reverse-articulating boom gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature enables over and up reaching tasks to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system which allows for valuable time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both effectiveness and productivity.
