Liebherr-International AG is the holding company of the Liebherr Group. They are located within Bulle, Switzerland and are completely owned by members of the Liebherr family. Now, the family business is being managed by Dr. H.C. Willi Liebherr and his sister Dr. H.C. Isolde Liebherr in the second generation. Since the year 2012, several of the active individual divisions have been represented by 3rd generation members of the family like: Stefanie Wohlfarth, Patricia Ruf, Sophie Albrecht and Jan Liebherr. These members of the family have been working together in order to help set up the course of the family business in the future. Hans Liebherr began to build his business during the year 1949, within a small town known as Kirchdorf in southern Germany. Kirchdorf, now supports one of Liebherr's 20 manufacturing locations.
