Used Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts San Francisco

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks that are utilized in various kinds of industries to move heavy materials and products. Forklifts are tough and reliable equipment that are necessary tools in construction and warehouse settings. Forklift models vary depending on the type of fuel that is used to power the lift truck and the type of work setting.

Electricity
Electric powered lift trucks are best for indoor settings, or in places with limited ventilation as they make no exhaust fumes. They are designed with industrial strength batteries. Because the electric forklift batteries need charging, the worksite must have a charging station. The batteries are tough and can be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they need to be replaced. The charging station should be located in a ventilated area and include an acid spill kit and an emergency eyewash station.

Propane
Liquid propane powered forklifts are commonly utilized in modern industrial applications as propane has some benefits over electric and diesel. Propane models are cleaner to operate compared to diesel-powered units. There is no down time required to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost for propane is less than the cost of electricity. A forklift propane tank can be refueled quickly and easily by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Usually an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very safe and efficient.

Diesel and Gasoline
Gasoline and Diesel lift trucks are the equipment of choice for rough terrain and outdoor applications. They are commonly found on lumber yards and construction sites. Their disadvantages include relatively high fuel costs, relatively high maintenance needs and odorous exhaust. Their advantages comprise reliability in tough conditions and a longer lifespan compared to other units. Gasoline and diesel units would need to be refueled at a supply station on site which meets safety and health regulations.
