Telescopic lift trucks
Telescopic forklift models are outfitted with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck providing versatility and great height. The crane, or arm, is referred to as a telescopic boom. The boom allows the individual using it to maintain a high degree of control while lifting the load to great heights. Regular lift trucks could not move the cargo away from and towards the forklift cab, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in both construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In cases requiring high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are better. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings which allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a cargo. It is available with a backrest that protects the cargo from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is used for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform which is designed to raise workers is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forks on the forklift and a strap or chain is utilized to attach the basket to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
